Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
In short
Money Note does not collect, transmit, share or sell your personal data. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising. Your financial records are stored on your device and in your own private iCloud database, which the developer (VUBA) has no access to.
Where your data lives
- On your device: wallets, transactions, categories, recurring rules and subscriptions are stored locally with Apple’s Core Data.
- In your private iCloud: when iCloud is on, Apple syncs that data between your own devices through the app’s private CloudKit database, tied to your Apple Account. It is governed by Apple’s privacy policy; we cannot read it.
- App settings — language, appearance, default currency, period start day and favourite wallets — are kept on the device and, when iCloud is on, synced to your other devices through your own iCloud key-value storage, so a new device or a reinstall starts where you left off. They never pass through a server of ours.
- Importing from MISA: the export file you pick is read inside the app, on your device. The converter is built into the app, so the file is never uploaded anywhere; only the wallets and transactions you confirm are saved, like anything you type yourself.
What we don’t do
- No accounts: you never sign up, give an email or create a password.
- No tracking or analytics: the app contains no third-party analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDK.
- No ads, no advertising ID: the app is ad-free and never uses the advertising identifier (IDFA).
- No bank connection: the app never asks for banking credentials and never reads your bank accounts. Everything in it is what you typed or imported yourself.
Network connections the app makes
- iCloud sync, run by Apple, as described above.
- Public lists: the app may download public configuration from our server — for example the list of banks used to suggest wallet names. Once a day at most it checks a small version file and downloads a list only when it has changed. It is a plain download; the app sends nothing about you or your records, and works without it.
- Bank logos: when a wallet shows a bank’s logo, the image is downloaded from our server too, like the list itself. Like any image download, the server receives an ordinary request from your device, which reveals only which logo is being loaded — never your balance or transactions.
- Tips: “Buy me a coffee” is an optional in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details, only Apple’s aggregated sales reports. It unlocks nothing.
Notifications
Reminders for recurring transactions and subscriptions are local notifications, scheduled on your device. The app asks for permission only when you turn a reminder on, and you can switch it off at any time in the iOS Settings app. No reminder passes through a server of ours.
Permissions
Notifications are the only permission Money Note may ask for, and they are optional. The app does not request your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or permission to track you.
Deleting your data
In the app, Settings → Delete all data removes every wallet, transaction and recurring rule from the device and from your iCloud, on all your devices. Deleting the app removes the copy on that device; what remains in iCloud can also be removed from your iCloud storage settings.
This website
mn.vuba.one runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. If you send us a message, we store what you typed — the message, the email if you gave one, the page language and the time — and your browser gets one random cookie so it can show you your own messages; no IP address is stored. Browsing sets no cookie at all. Like any web server, ours may keep standard access logs for security; they are not used to identify or profile you.
Children
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a feature that touches the network is added — we will post the update here, change the date above, and keep the App Store privacy labels in line.
